Finally my Merlin DVDs arrived! I haven't really had much time to watch anything from them but I did listen to Bradley James and Rupert Young give an "alternative" commentary to 5.10. We decided to do something today that we have been meaning to do for years and visit the Barnes Wildfowl and Wetland Trust. It turned out to be one of London's hidden secrets, a beautifully tranquil and restful place, or it would have been if it hadn't been under the flight path to Heathrow! I was up in London on Tuesday anyway and thought I'd use up some time that I had spare walking from the Olympic clock towards Tower Bridge along the South Bank. Today was the day the Olympic Torch came to town. I had been going to see it in the town centre but my Twittertimeline was telling me someone of interest to me was going to be carrying it on the final leg before lunch.
